Compass- Changing Lives Mental Health Support Team (MHST)

In January 2024, Granville Academy successfully became the host school for Compass Changing Lives - Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and we are proud to be South Derbyshire’s Mental Health Centre of Excellence.

Compass offer 1:1 sessions, group interventions and a whole school approach to achieving positive mental health and wellbeing. Through a referral, they can support students with an array of early intervention support to tackle common emotional health and wellbeing difficulties including; feeling low, mild anxiety, sleep  hygiene, simple phobias, managing behaviour, adjusting to change, managing emotions and exam stress.

Should you feel that you or your child would benefit from a referral to Compass, we can support you. In the first instance, please contact your child’s Head of Year to discuss this further. Alternatively, parents are able to refer directly to Compass via the referral form on their website.
