Curriculum Model (Overview)

Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) 

At Key Stage 3 (KS3), we offer a rich and varied programme with all students studying the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, ICT (Computer Science) and Physical Education (PE). In addition, students will also have lessons in Technology (Food, Graphics, Resistant Materials and Textiles), World Studies (History, Geography, French/Spanish and RE, Creative Arts (Art, Drama and Music) and Values (Citizenship and PSHE).

The tables below show the number of hours curriculum time for each subject the students have each week. 

In Year 9, students are supported to make choices about the courses they would like to continue studying at Key Stage 4 (KS4). 

Key Stage 4 (Year 10 and 11)

We offer a personalised KS4 curriculum, which engages all students. Students continue to study English, English Literature, Mathematics, Science, Values (Citizenship and PSHE), Creative iMedia (current Year 11), Personal Development (current Year 10) and PE.

In Key Stage 4 (KS4), we offer a wide range of GCSEs and vocational qualifications. We structure the curriculum in such a way that it follows the government's progress guidelines whilst also providing the students with a wide variety of subjects. 

Students select 3 options. They can then choose from a range of options including;

• Drama

• Food
• Geography
• Health and Social Care
• History
• Music
• Physical Education
• Religious Education
• Textiles
